Michael Westen, a seasoned U.S. spy, is suddenly "burned", i.e. discredited, without any form of procedure. He survives by doing impossible jobs for desperate people in Miami, where his mother lives. Michael is usually aided by his ex-girlfriend Fiona and trusted
former FBI informer Sam. Professional spies don't just get fired like regular people. Instead, they get "burned". And when you are burned, you're exposed and left with absolutely nothing to your name. No cash, no credit, no credit score, no job history, and
you're stuck in whatever city the agency decides to leave you in. Michael Westen is one such spy. He was burned and decides to take his revenge on the people who burned him. But in order to do so, he decides he cannot do this alone, so he teams up with people
from his past. His former partner Sam Axe, an ex-Navy SEAL who used to rat on him to the FBI and more than enjoys a good cocktail or two. And his on again, off again ex-girlfriend Fiona Glenanne, who enjoys explosives and firearms as much as fashion and yogurt.
Together, they take on cases that help individuals throughout the city of Miami, while Michael puts together the pieces of the puzzle about the people that burned him. And they will need lots of yogurt and C4 in order to do so. What started out as an interesting
idea has become foolish. I liked seeing the ingenuity of the main character in various situations but soon realized that the series (in theory) only had a short life because of one fatal flaw. It's only a matter of time before Michael's past catches up with
him. Not his past as a spy but his recent past as a 'problem solver'. Sooner or later someone related or associated with one of the criminals he has thwarted, will spot him sitting in a café or one of his regular haunts. Miami is not that big a place and past
buddies of his and Sam's seem to have no trouble finding out where he lives and where his mother lives. Word will get round and he will become a target for revenge. It's only a matter of time. However, the series, being popular, will go on and on until milked
dry. The longer it goes on the more foolish it will become. BURN NOTICE is smart, original , captivating,stylish and just stunning.Let me start saying i love TV and watch a lots of show but i guess nothing come near burn notice (except house m.d).it's something
new and it has everything you want in a show :humor,action,thriller ,suspence,bit of drama and everything.
The script gets better and better every time(i like the two story running together and have effects on each other ) ,casting is amazing ,everyone in the show rocks specially Donovan(btw where was he before this),the show has it's style and let me tell u that
is unique (little narration are great).
If you like shows which are light and same time gives u thrill ,ths show is for you .You won't only find youself back eveyweek but also wanting more and more Michael wears the Oliver Peoples Victory sunglasses. Oliver Peoples no longer makes the Victory frames,
in the 55s (which is Michael's lens size) or the 58s. The lens color is the cognac, which is available via special order on just about all of the sunglasses OP has to offer.
Recently (Spring 2010), Oliver Peoples rereleased the 55s in the gold/cognac color combination. It is unknown how long the new run will last. In the pilot it's established that Fiona is Irish and as such she speaks with an Irish accent. In the second episode
she greets Michael using an American accent. When he asks her about it she says she "can't go around Miami sounding like a freaking leprechaun". later it's determined that in order to hide from her numerous enemies, she took on an American accent. In the episode
Long Way Back season 3 episode 9 her brother Sean discusses her accent change briefly with her.
